AirCraft AT0016-23 Gear Bracket For Air Ratchet Wrench
At a Glance: Replacement gear bracket/carrier that supports and locates the gears for smooth engagement in the AirCraft AT0016 air ratchet.
This part is the “gear organiser” inside your air ratchet—holding gear pins in position so the drivetrain can do its job smoothly under load. The AirCraft AT0016-23 Gear Bracket is a replacement gear carrier/bracket for the AirCraft Air Ratchet Wrench (AT0016 series). It supports the gear set (often the small planetary-style gears) and keeps them correctly spaced and aligned for consistent meshing. If a bracket becomes worn, distorted, or the pin bores loosen up, you can get rough engagement, noise, uneven wear and power loss. Replacing the bracket helps restore clean, stable gear operation and dependable torque transfer.
A good carrier keeps gears running true and prevents unwanted movement under torque. This reduces backlash (play), improves engagement consistency, and protects gears and sleeves from premature wear.

Features
- AT0016-series compatibility Designed as a replacement gear bracket/carrier for the AirCraft Air Ratchet Wrench range.
- Multi-pin gear support Holds and locates multiple gears for consistent meshing.
- Precision-machined seating Supports correct spacing and alignment within the gear assembly.
- Durable metal construction Built to handle torque loads and repeated cycling.
Benefits
- Smoother engagement: Keeps gears aligned to reduce chatter, roughness and uneven meshing.
- More reliable torque transfer: Stable carrier support helps maintain consistent drive under load.
- Reduces wear: Proper gear positioning protects teeth, sleeves and housings from damage caused by movement.
Extra Information
- Intended as a spare part for AirCraft Air Ratchet Wrench gear/drive assemblies (AT0016 series).
- Replace the gear bracket if pin seats are worn, the bracket is cracked/distorted, or if drivetrain noise/play persists after gear replacement.
- Inspect the gears and sleeve at the same time—worn mating parts can quickly damage a new carrier.
- If a parts diagram is available under the Documents tab, use it to confirm the correct orientation and assembly order.
Pro Tip
- During assembly, apply a thin layer of suitable pneumatic tool grease to the gear pins and teeth. Keep it light—too much grease traps grit and speeds up wear.
Safety
- Disconnect the air supply and bleed remaining pressure before opening the gear housing.
- Wear eye protection—small parts, clips and pins can release unexpectedly.
- Keep fingers clear of pinch points when checking engagement during reassembly.
- Use correct tools and avoid forcing parts; misalignment can damage gears and housings.
- After reassembly, test the tool at low pressure first to confirm smooth engagement before returning to service.
