Safety

• Wear eye, ear, hand and respiratory protection when cutting steel – sparks and metal dust are hazardous.
• Always use the safety guard and position it between yourself and the cutting disc.
• Check that the cutting disc is rated for 230mm and at least 6600rpm, and that it is correctly mounted before use.
• Secure the workpiece firmly and support offcuts so they cannot pinch the disc or fall unexpectedly.
• Let the disc reach full speed before entering the cut and avoid twisting or side-loading the wheel in the kerf.
• Disconnect the grinder from the power supply before changing discs, adjusting the guard or performing maintenance.
